Vermont Fiber Designs debuted its new line of patterns at The National Needlework Show in Long Beach, California, in January, 2004.
We are proud to offer interesting, creative knitwear designs, and strive to produce the best quality patterns possible. Because of the
great need for patterns in Plus Sizes, our patterns each range to size 5 or 6X-Large.
Vermont Fiber Designs was started by Sue McCain, former Design Coordinator with Classic Elite Yarns. She began knitting nearly 20
years ago, out of a desperate need for sweaters with sleeves that were long enough (she's 6' tall). While studying in Paris, a friend taught
her the basics of knitting. From her very first finished project (a raglan pullover to which she added stripes which met perfectly at the sleeves),
she was hopelessly hooked, and remains so to this day. As an artist, she enjoys playing with color and texture and loves finding just the
right yarn for each design.
